1. Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
1. Ainsi, qu`on nous regarde comme des serviteurs de Christ, et des dispensateurs des mystères de Dieu.

2. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
2. Du reste, ce qu`on demande des dispensateurs, c`est que chacun soit trouvé fidèle.
2. Ary koa izay takìna amin’ny mpitandrina fananana dia ny ho hita fa olona mahatoky.
3. But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
3. "Pour moi, il m`importe fort peu d`être jugé par vous, ou par un tribunal humain. Je ne me juge pas non plus moi-même, car je ne me sens coupable de rien;"
3. "Fa raha ny amiko, dia ataoko ho zavatra kely foana, na hotsarainareo aho, na hotsarain’olona; eny, ny tenako aza tsy mitsara ahy."
4. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
4. mais ce n`est pas pour cela que je suis justifié. Celui qui me juge, c`est le Seigneur.
4. "Fa tsy hitako izay tsiniko, nefa tsy mahamarina ahy izany; fa ny Tompo no mpitsara ahy:"
5. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
5. C`est pourquoi ne jugez de rien avant le temps, jusqu`à ce que vienne le Seigneur, qui mettra en lumière ce qui est caché dans les ténèbres, et qui manifestera les desseins des coeurs. Alors chacun recevra de Dieu la louange qui lui sera due.
5. "Koa amin’izany, aza mitsara na inona na inona alohan’ny fotoana, mandra-piavin’ny Tompo, Izay hampiharihary ny zavatra takona ao amin’ny maizina, ka hampiseho ny hevitry ny fo; dia samy hahazo izay derany avy amin’Andriamanitra ny tsirairay avy."
6. And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.
6. C`est à cause de vous, frères, que j`ai fait de ces choses une application à ma personne et à celle d`Apollos, afin que vous appreniez en nos personnes à ne pas aller au delà de ce qui est écrit, et que nul de vous ne conçoive de l`orgueil en faveur de l`un contre l`autre.
6. Ary izany zavatra izany, ry rahalahy, nataoko oha-teny hilaza ahy sy Apolosy noho ny aminareo, mba hianaranareo aminay ny tsy hihoatra noho ny voasoratra, mba tsy hisy hireharehanareo hankalaza ny anankiray, fa hanohitra ny anankiray kosa.
7. For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
7. Car qui est-ce qui te distingue? Qu`as-tu que tu n`aies reçu? Et si tu l`as reçu, pourquoi te glorifies-tu, comme si tu ne l`avais pas reçu?
7. Fa iza no mampihoatra anao amin’ny hafa? Ary inona no anananao, izay tsy noraisinao? Fa raha nandray ihany ianao, nahoana no mirehareha hoatra ny tsy nandray?
8. Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.
8. Déjà vous êtes rassasiés, déjà vous êtes riches, sans nous vous avez commencé à régner. Et puissiez-vous régner en effet, afin que nous aussi nous régnions avec vous!
8. Efa afa-po ianareo ankehitriny, efa manankarena ianareo, efa nanjaka ianareo, nefa tsy niaraka taminay, ary iriko amin’Andriamanitra mba hanjaka ianareo, ka hiarahanay manjaka aminareo koa.
9. For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.
9. Car Dieu, ce me semble, a fait de nous, apôtres, les derniers des hommes, des condamnés à mort en quelque sorte, puisque nous avons été en spectacle au monde, aux anges et aux hommes.
9. "Nefa ataoko fa nasehon’Andriamanitra ho faraidina izahay apostoly, dia toy izay voaheloka hovonoina; fa izahay dia natao ho fizàhan’izao rehetra izao, sy ny anjely, ary ny olona."
10. We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.
10. "Nous sommes fous à cause de Christ; mais vous, vous êtes sages en Christ; nous sommes faibles, mais vous êtes forts. Vous êtes honorés, et nous sommes méprisés!"

11. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
11. "Jusqu`à cette heure, nous souffrons la faim, la soif, la nudité; nous sommes maltraités, errants çà et là;"
11. "Mandraka ankehitriny izao dia noana sy mangetaheta sy tsy manan-kitafy sy asiana totohondry ary tsy manana antom-ponenana izahay;"
12. And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
12. "nous nous fatiguons à travailler de nos propres mains; injuriés, nous bénissons; persécutés, nous supportons;"
12. "Ary misasatra miasa amin’ny tananay izahay; raha tevatevaina izahay, dia misaotra; raha enjehina dia miaritra;"
13. Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
13. "calomniés, nous parlons avec bonté; nous sommes devenus comme les balayures du monde, le rebut de tous, jusqu`à maintenant."
13. "Raha alam-baràka, dia manao teny mora; atao toy ny faditr’izao tontolo izao izahay, ary faikan' ny zavatra rehetra mandraka ankehitriny."
14. I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.
14. "Ce n`est pas pour vous faire honte que j`écris ces choses; mais je vous avertis comme mes enfants bien-aimés."

15. For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
15. Car, quand vous auriez dix mille maîtres en Christ, vous n`avez cependant pas plusieurs pères, puisque c`est moi qui vous ai engendrés en Jésus Christ par l`Évangile.
15. "Fa na dia manana mpampianatra iray alina ao amin’i Kristy aza ianareo, dia tsy maro ray ianareo; fa izaho no niteraka anareo ao amin’i Kristy Jesosy tamin’ny filazantsara."
16. Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.
16. Je vous en conjure donc, soyez mes imitateurs.
16. Koa miangavy anareo aho, manahafa ahy ianareo.
17. For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
17. "Pour cela je vous ai envoyé Timothée, qui est mon enfant bien-aimé et fidèle dans le Seigneur; il vous rappellera quelles sont mes voies en Christ, quelle est la manière dont j`enseigne partout dans toutes les Églises."

18. Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you.
18. Quelques-uns se sont enflés d`orgueil, comme si je ne devais pas aller chez vous.

19. But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.
19. Mais j`irai bientôt chez vous, si c`est la volonté du Seigneur, et je connaîtrai, non les paroles, mais la puissance de ceux qui se sont enflés.
19. Fa ho avy any faingana aho, raha sitrapon’ny Tompo, dia ho fantatro ny herin’ireo mpirehareha ireo, fa tsy ny fiteniny.
20. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
20. Car le royaume de Dieu ne consiste pas en paroles, mais en puissance.
20. Fa ny fanjakan’Andriamanitra tsy amin’ny teny, fa amin’ny hery.
21. What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?
21. Que voulez-vous? Que j`aille chez vous avec une verge, ou avec amour et dans un esprit de douceur?
21. Inona àry no tianareo? Ho avy aminareo mitondra tsorakazo va aho, sa amin’ny fitiavana sy ny fahalemem-panahy?
